Membership Options and Information

The Previsualization Society provides an array of information, resources and tangible tools that are specifically targeted to different member types. Currently there are five types of paid memberships to the Society. Corporate memberships are available by contacting the Society's Treasurer, Dan Gregoire. Access to the website is available by the means of a free web membership.
Free web membership includes:
- Access to public content.
- Commenting privileges to the main homepage blog. (New subject posting restricted)
- Posting and commenting privileges to the Society general forums.
- Access to the Society Members' Blog and Pro Forums is restricted.
- Access to Society downloadable tools, documents, video libraries and files is restricted.
The five primary types of paid memberships include:
- General Memberships ($25) are limited memberships for individuals who are interested in the previsualization process but do not work within the previs industry. Membership includes:
• Access to public content.
• Commenting privileges to the main homepage blog. (New subject posting restricted)
• Posting and commenting privileges to the Society and Previs forums and Society Members' blog is permitted.
• Access to Pro Forums is restricted.
• Access to Society downloadable tools, documents, video libraries and files is restricted.
- Student Membership ($30) are full Society memberships for students. Proof of student status is necessary to qualify. Membership includes:
• Access to public content.
• Commenting privileges to the main homepage blog. (New subject posting restricted)
• Posting and commenting privileges to the Society and Previs Q&A forums and Society Members' blog is permitted.
• Access to Pro Forums is permitted.
• Access to Society downloadable tools, documents, video libraries and files is permitted.
• Access to future tutorials, screening events, scholarships, internship information, and job board is permitted.
- Educational Memberships ($50) are full Society memberships for instructors. Proof of educator status is necessary to qualify. Membership includes:
• Access to public content.
• Commenting privileges to the main homepage blog. (New subject posting restricted)
• Posting and commenting privileges to the Society and Previs Q&A forums and Society Members' blog is permitted.
• Access to Pro Forums is permitted.
• Access to Society downloadable tools, documents, video libraries and files is permitted.
• Access to future tutorials, screening events, internship information, and job board is permitted.
- Associate Memberships ($70) are full Society memberships for creative industry professionals who work in conjunction with previs professionals. Examples of associate members include directors, producers, vfx supervisor, vfx artists, art directors, and cinematographers. Membership includes:
• Access to public content.
• Commenting and follow up posting privileges to the main homepage blog.
• Posting and commenting privileges to the Society and Previs Q&A forums and Society Members' blog is permitted.
• Access to Pro Forums is permitted.
• Access to Society downloadable tools, documents, video libraries and files is permitted.
• Access to future tutorials, screening events, internship information, and job board is permitted.
• Subscription to the future Previs Society newsletter.
• Eligibility to vendor discounts.
• Access to member contact list. - Previs Professional Memberships ($80) are for professionals whose activities in the previs industry are not less than three (3) years. Professional candidates must demonstrate a history of previsualization abilities and accomplishments that are consistent with the Society's objectives. Professional candidates must be endorsed by an active Society member in good standing and produce a letter of recommendation on your behalf. (Currently waived until 15 Jan 2010) Membership includes:
• Access to public content.
• Commenting and follow up posting privileges to the main homepage blog.
• Posting and commenting privileges to the Society and Previs Q&A forums and Society Members' blog is permitted.
• Access to Pro Forums permitted.
• Access to Society downloadable tools, documents, video libraries and files is permitted.
• Access to future tutorials, screening events, internship information, and job board is permitted.
• Subscription to the future Previs Society newsletter.
• Eligibility to vendor discounts.
• Access to member contact list.
• First access to new website technologies or Society offerings geared towards those working in the previs field.
