Is the society going to provide any ethical guidelines for contract work? I tend to reference the http://www.graphicartistsguild.org/ handbook for estimates on computer arts but it would be great if the society had something similar specifically for previs.
I actually have a question regarding freelance work. I was offered a contract job for doing previs for a 70min short. However, as a student, I am unsure what I should charge over all such as building assets, character animation, modeling 3d sets etc. Previs is quite new and its difficult for me to determine what price range I should be looking at based on the project.

Excellent idea. I second the motion.
A guideline would be very helpful, because I think my fee schedule is too low.

That was my main concern, because there are employers out there who take advantage of artists and their work.
A friend of mine who was a Motion Graphic artist was editing a music video and his employer emailed him a software package--my friend didn't use the software but later found out that the software was deducted from his contract money.
Its situations like these that need to be avoided and we all should have a good understanding of what is ethical in this industry if the task is big or small.
