The Previs Society was founded to be an active organization that can enact real change and growth in our Industry. The Society intends to be a focal point for many activities that will help shape the way in which future content is created.
In order to accomplish these missions efficiently, the Previs Society need you! Twelve committees are being formed to help further the Society’s goals in parallel. We hope that each of you will get involved with one or more of the following committees:
Program Committee – plans lectures, screenings, and other events that are of benefit to the membership
Social Committee – plans less-formal social events that are great for networking and community building
Content Committee – publishes informative guides and articles related to previsualization
Archive Committee – maintains a collection of past and present previs examples & edits the annual “best of” reel
Educational Committee – fosters relationships with schools and develops previs curriculums
Outreach Committee – helps market the Society and get its message out
Industry Relations Committee – meets with Industry leaders and studios to strengthen relations Technology Committee – evaluates new technologies and works on special projects with technology partners
Web Committee – helps grow the Society’s web presence and add value to the website / online social network
Fund Raising Committee – maintains sponsor relationships and works to find other revenue streams
Budget Committee – sets spending priorities to make sure the society is fiscally sound
Simply click the link in orange below to choose which committees you may be interested in. The organizers for each committee will contact you as soon as the official meetings begin. Participation can even be virtual, so don’t hesitate to volunteer if you are not in the LA area. As long as you can conference call or Skype in for meetings, the Chairpersons will make an effort to include you. Thank you all for helping to kick off the Previs Society in style!
